Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to
study the current conditions about gender equity
and 2) to share and learn about the process for
enhancing gender equity. The research design
used the qualitative research design. The research
paradigm used the Feminism research, Gender,
Postmodern Curriculum, and Power Relation. The
study was used theory sampling technique. The
theory samplings were the 12 experts. The data
was collected by participatory observation, in-debt
interview, and document analysis. The data was
analyzed by content analysis and member check.
The results were; 1) the inequity theme was
emerged in all society. It has more complexities
and hierarchies that difficult to reveal easily.
School was the crucial institute under the micro
social structure and the most effectiveness for
cultural knowledge transmission. According to this
role, the school plays in the both, production and
reproduction. Therefore, equity promoting process
for cultural theme needs the multi-perspectives
for transformation. This process was to connect
the self and the socio-culture; looking back to the
past, looking toward, reflecting, and synthesizing
for adjust self-concept and socio-culture. This
multi-process also wanted many stakeholders for
sharing their ideas and their views that congruence
with the complexities and multi-layers in now a
day. 2) Curriculum Development Process was the
Learning through Experiences Process (L-Es) from
Fiere. The process had 4 steps; Doing/experiences,
Reflecting, Analyzing/Synthesizing, and Applying.
The power relation was used in curriculum
development for building the power sharing that
will make the people share their experiences and
explore the ways for equity in school.
