Abstract:
The purpose of the research are to study adversity quotient (AQ) and responsibility on the
job of programmers, to study adversity quotient (AQ) and responsibility on the job of
programmers categorize by personal factor and to study the relationships between adversity
quotient (AQ) and responsibility on the job of programmers. The survey samples included 380
programmers worked at Bangkok and Nonthaburi provinces. The data were collected by using the
measurement the adversity quotient and the responsibility on the job. Eventually, the data were
statistically analyzed. The results of this study were as follows :
1. The programmers had a high adversity quotient level. The outstanding AQ features of
the programmers were effective self-learning and capable of improvement themselves efficiently.
Furthermore, the programmers had high responsibility on result, and were able to make a plan,
control, and solve problems.
2. The programmers had high responsibility. The dominant responsibility feature of the
programmers was have a discipline. They were more likely to be responsible for what they had
done. They improve and perform their tasks based on jobs quality consideration.
3. The programmers had different education and age were more likely to have different
adversity quotient at the level of significance of .05.
4. The programmers had different education, age, and experiences at a present workplace
and overall experience had different responsibility level at the level of significance of .05.
5. Adversity quotient, making a plan, controlling and solving problems, responsibility,
effective self-learning and capable of improvement themselves efficiently and creativity endurance
effort influence the programmers job responsibility.
6. The overall responsibility related to the overall adversity quotient at the level of
significance of .01. In summary, the programmers had AQ, creativity, endurance, and effort were
most likely to had high responsibility and enthusiasm at the level of significance of .01.
