The development of collaborative learning media using the teams-games-tournament technique integrated with active learning on basic program design and coding for Prathomsuksa 6 students at Chumchon Ban Plakhao school
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to 1) develop collaborative learning media using
the Team Game Tournament technique integrated with active learning on the topic of basic programming
and program design for Grade 6 students at Chumchon Ban Plakhao School, 2) examine the quality of
the collaborative learning media using the Team Game Tournament technique integrated with
active learning, 3) determine the efficiency of the collaborative learning media using the Team Game
Tournament technique integrated with active learning, and 4) compare students learning achievement
before and after learning through the collaborative learning media developed based on the Team
Game Tournament technique integrated with the active learning approach. The target group consisted
of 25 Grade 6 students in the second semester of the 2025 academic year. The research instruments
included 1) lesson plans designed for implementing the collaborative learning media, 2) a learning
achievement test, 3) a quality evaluation questionnaire for the collaborative learning media, and
4) the collaborative learning media. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard
deviation, t-test, and media efficiency values (E1
/E2
).
The research findings were as follows.
1. The collaborative learning media using the Team Game Tournament technique
integrated with active learning on the topic of basic programming and program design for Grade 6
students at Chumchon Ban Plakhao School consisted of five modules: 1) the home module,
2) the lesson module, 3) the group competition activity room module, 4) the additional learning
resources module, and 5) the teacher contact module.
2. The overall quality of the collaborative learning media was at the highest level,
with a mean score of 4.76 and a standard deviation of .45.
3. The efficiency of the collaborative learning media was 81.77/80.30, which met
the established criterion of 80/80.
4. The students learning achievement after learning through the collaborative learning
media was significantly higher than before learning at the .05 level of statistical significance.
