Smart contract-driven secure data offloading in drone-assisted defense networks
Abstract:
Although drone-assisted defense networks manage extremely sensitive data, they are nevertheless susceptible to serious security risks such data manipulation, GPS spoofing, eavesdropping, and drone hijacking. This paper presents a secure data offloading methodology for drone-assisted military situations based on smart contracts in order to overcome these issues. In order to provide real-time and low-latency communication while offering robust defense against impersonation and replay assaults, the suggested framework makes use of decentralized fog servers. It successfully overcomes the drawbacks of current approaches by enabling secure credential updates and dynamic drone enrollment. Both informal analysis and formal verification using the Scyther tool are used to confirm the security of the suggested protocol. Performance evaluation shows that, when compared to current competing methods, the suggested strategy delivers better outcomes in terms of communication, security strength, and computing cost.
