Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare the learning achievement of the year vocational certificate students using MIAP teaching with graphic organizers with set criteria of 70 %, 2) to study the practical skills of the first year vocational certificate students using MIAP teaching with graphic organizers and ; 3) to study the satisfaction the students towards the vtilization of MIAP teaching with graphic organizers. The sample of the study consisted of 30 first year vocational certificate 1/1 students of Aquaculture program in Udornthani College of Agriculture and Technology under Office of the Vocational Education Commission, obtained by using cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments included three lesson plans on aquaculture using MIAP teaching with graphic organizers ; a 30-item four multiple-choice learning achievement test on aquaculture with discrimination ranging from 0.40 to 0.77, with difficulty index ranging from 0.20 to 0.60 and the reliability level of 0.88; a 4-rating rubric practical skills test; and a 10-item 5-rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by t-test (One Samples t-test). The findings were as follows:
1. The learning achievement of the first year vocational certificate students using MIAP teaching with graphic organizers indicated average percentage at 76.00 % which was higher than the set criteria of 70 % with statistical significance at the .05 level.
2. The practical skills of the first year vocational certificate students using MIAP teaching with graphic organizers were in a very good level. When considering each skill, it was revealed that every skill was at a very good level. The skill with the highest average was fish broodstock selection skills, followed by hormone preparation and application skills, egg incubation skills, and egg and sperm fertilization skills, respectively. The skill that received the lowest average was hormone injection skills.
3. The overall satisfaction of the students towards the utilization of MIAP teaching with graphic organizers was at a high level.
