Result of learning activity management using cognitively guided instruction (CGI) with problem solving processes DAPIC to mathematical problem solving ability and learning achievement of Mathayomsuksa 1 students
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to compare the mathematical problem solving ability, and to study mathematics learning achievement of Mathayomsuksa 1 students after obtaining learning activity management using cognitively guided instruction (CGI) with problem solving processes DAPIC with the criterion of 70 percent. The sample was 40 students of Mathayomsuksa 1 in the first semester of the 2024 academic year at Bansuanudomvittaya School, Chonburi Province. They were selected by the cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments used in this research consisted of 1) six lesson plans, 2) mathematical problem solving ability test with reliability of 0.77, and 3) mathematics learning achievement test with reliability of 0.85. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and t-test for one sample. The research results were that 1) mathematical problem solving ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 students after obtaining learning activity management using cognitively guided instruction (CGI) with problem solving processes DAPIC was higher than the 70 percent criterion. 2) mathematics learning achievement of Mathayomsuksa 1 students after obtaining learning activity management using cognitively guided instruction (CGI) with problem solving processes DAPIC was higher than the 70 percent criterion.
