Influencing mechanism of Nanning city consumers' use intention on bike sharing scheme
Abstract:
In recent years, rapid economic development had gradually transitioned society from a shortage economy to a surplus economy. At the same time, with the rapid development of mobile Internet, smart terminals, big data, and cloud computing, the sharing economy flourished and transformed traditional industries into a new era of development. The sharing economy's business model had widely penetrated various industries from consumption to production, effectively promoting traditional industries' innovation, transformation, and upgrading. In the transportation market, the rapid development of shared bicycles made it synonymous with the sharing economy. Under such circumstances, bike-sharing platform companies entered the market with the innovative business model of the bike-sharing concept of "green travel" for environmentally friendly and traffic improvement in local areas. The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant difference in consumers' use intention on bike sharing schemes with different control variables (gender, age, education, and user experience); to explore the influencing mechanism of the Guizhou consumers' purchase intention based on movie word of mouth, consumer attitude, and perceived value; and to suggest feasible suggestions on the bike sharing scheme by improving consumers' attitudes and perceptions of public concerns. Four hundred and three completed questionnaires of Nanning City consumers were collected through the online WeChat platform by random sampling in March 2023. The results showed trust, feature perception, and use attitude significantly impacted use intention on shared bike schemes. In addition, the supportive dimension of variables based on information design, service quality, price rationality, risk perception, design, technology perception, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use would also be considered essential factors for promoting the bike-sharing scheme in Nanning City.
