Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to investigate the level of the roles of local leaders influenced people's participation in the development of the sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province, 2) to study the correlation between Saṅgahavatthu IV and the roles of local leaders influenced peoples participation in the development of the sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province, and 3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions for the roles of local leaders influenced peoples participation in the development of Sai Yoi Subdistrict's sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province.
This research was mixed-methods research both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative approach used survey research. A group sample of 346 persons over the age of 18 was selected from a total population of 5,115 persons in Sai Yoi Subdistrict, Den Chai District, Phrae Province, using the Taro Yamane formula. The data analysis was analyzed by using frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation (S.D.). The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to determine the correlation between Saṅgahavatthu IV and the roles of local leaders that influenced people's participation in the development of a sufficient economy in Den Chai District, Phrae Province. While the qualitative data were acquired by in-depth interviews with 11 key informants. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis technique and presented by frequency distribution tables of key informants to support the quantitative data."
The results of the research were as follows:
1) The level of the roles of local leaders influenced people's participation in the development of Den Chai District's sufficiency economy according to Saṅgahavatthu IV principle overall was at a high level (X = 4.21, S.D. = 0.56). The roles of local leaders influenced peoples participation in the development of sufficient economy of Sai Yoi Subdistrict, Den Chai District, Phrae Province in overall were at a high level (X = 4.04, S.D. = 0.60).
2) The correlation between the Saṅgahavatthu IV principle and the roles of local leaders influenced peoples participation in the development of the sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province in overall was positively correlated at a high level (r = .854**). From the hypothesis testing, it is found that Saṅgahavatthu IV and the roles of local leaders influenced peoples participation in the development of sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province was positively correlated with a statistical significance at 0.01 level, which accepted the hypothesis.
3) From studying problems and suggestions for the roles of local leaders that can influence peoples participation in the development of Sai Yoi Subdistrict's sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province, the following findings were found: (1) Due to the Coronavirus 2019 epidemic situation, the planning to peoples participants in activities the development of Sai Yoi Subdistrict's sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province was not cover. The peoples participation in public opinion, implementation checking, and evaluation in the development of Sai Yoi Subdistrict's sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province was a little bit. Eventually, knowledge changed and the information on the development of Sai Yoi Subdistrict's sufficiency economy of Den Chai District, Phrae Province did not have so much. The suggestions: local leaders should be further the way for coordination, public opinion by passing the online media, measures adding to prevent the spread of the 2019 Coronavirus; as well as the establishment the follow up a committee, checking, implementation evaluation by peoples giving come to development committee based on sufficiency economy and information about activities bypass diversity of online media for people to know and understanding.
