Abstract:
The Dissertation Titled Peace Innovation of the New Breed Leader for Organization Engagement Leverage Employs a Mixed-Method Research Approach with three objectives: (1) To study the problems and needs in developing New Generation Leaders that enhance organizational commitment. (2) To analyze the concepts, modern theories, and Buddhist Peace Principles that contribute to the development of New Generation Leaders in enhancing organizational commitment. (3) To develop and present Innovative Leadership Development to become New Generation Leaders in enhancing Organizational Commitment. The research uses a mixed-method experimental design with qualitative data collection tools, Including Open-Ended Questionnaires with key informants from two groups, namely The Personnel Responsible for personnel and executives of Krung Thai Bank, totaling 43 people, and group discussions with six experts. For quantitative data collection, an experimental training operation was conducted with a group of organizational leaders from Krung Thai Bank, totaling 44 people. A questionnaire on the characteristics of new generation leaders to enhance organizational commitment was used to evaluate the results before and after the experiment, along with qualitative data from observations, reflections, group activities, lesson extraction, and on-the-job training follow-up learning.
The research found that organizational commitment is decreasing because employees are not willing to adapt to changes and stick to the old work culture. Therefore, the organization needs new generation leaders who have characteristics that enhance organizational commitment, such as being a role model in leading love and commitment in the organization, having a positive attitude that will lead the team to achieve personal and organizational goals, being able to guide the team in development, helping each other, creating a team working atmosphere with compassion for each other, and being able to use technology to enhance the efficiency of teamwork to achieve success and happiness.
The concept of Transformative leaders is an important concept in developing the attributes of new generation leaders in developing themselves to be role models of love and commitment in the organization, having influence on employees as charismatic leaders, creating inspiration by knowing how to communicate that creates positive power, being able to stimulate the intellect for employees to learn and develop themselves, considering the individuality that is different, and having digital competency that is compatible with the organizations policy in providing services and managing work through online platforms.
These new generation leader competencies will enhance organizational commitment when leaders have the Four Divine Abidings (Metta-Karuna-Mutita-Ubekkha) by showing love and compassion to the team, providing help and advice, promoting and supporting progress, and trusting to be fair. The innovation in developing new generation leaders to enhance organizational commitment by training operations for 1 day, along with training methods that allow leaders to learn work in a real work environment (On the Job Training) for 60 days. The training content includes Pre-Module starting with mindfulness before starting, Module 1 The new world that is not the same, Module 2 Change leaders 4 types Module, Module 3 Four Divine Abidings with MEKMU role model leaders, Module 4 Employees 4 types with organizational commitment, Module 5 Digital Competency 4 aspects, and Module 6 New generation leaders MEKMU to practice.
The experimental results found that the leaders who participated in the training had an average competency to be new generation leaders to enhance organizational commitment in all 3 aspects, including being a change leader, after the experiment was higher than before the experiment, t value = 3.64 sig = .001 statistically significant at the .05 level. Leaders can lead the team to work together happily and have organizational commitment.
The knowledge of the research is the 3S-MEKMU Model, consisting of Spiritual Leader with the Brahmavihara 4 (MEKMU Leader: Metta-Karuna-Mutita-Ubekkha)-A new breed of leaders who embody the four Brahmaviharas (loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity) to foster organizational engagement. Strong Leader with Transformational Leadership-New breed of leaders must be strong and fully embrace transformational leadership. Skilled Leader with Digital Competency-New breed of leaders must possess skills in four areas of digital competency. In summary, the 3S-MEKMU refers to MEKMU leaders who exhibit transformational leadership, possess digital competencies, and drive organizational change to foster engagement.
