Abstract:
The objectives of the research were: 1) to study the conditions of classroom research promotion of school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2, 2) to compare the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers toward the classroom research promotion of the school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2 by classifying the personal factors, and 3) to find the guidelines for the classroom research promotion of the school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2 according to Kalyàõamitta-dhamma 7 (qualities of a good friend). This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the Quantitative Research by collecting the data from 283 school administrators and teachers with the questionnaires having 0.951 of reliability and using frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test and F-test with One Way ANOVA and the Least Significant Difference: LSD for the data analysis, and the Qualitative Research by collecting the data from 9 key informants with the Semi-structured Interviews and the content analysis for the data analysis.
The research results were as follows:
1. Overall, the conditions of classroom research promotion of the school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2 were at a high level (x̅ = 3.61, S.D. = .460). When considering each aspect, it found that the research promotion and support was at the highest level (x̅= 3.81, S.D. = .701). Then, it was the research monitoring (x̅= 3.57, S.D. = .643). However, the basic knowledge of the research was at the lowest level (x̅ = 3.48, S.D. = .919).
2. The results of comparing the opinions of the school administrators and the teachers toward the classroom research promotion of the school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2 by classifying the personal factors found that the school administrators and teachers having the different gender, age, degree of education, and professional experience did not have the different opinion at the .05 of statistical significance. Therefore, the research hypothesis was denied. However, the school administrators and teachers having the different position status had the different opinion at the .01 of statistical significance. Therefore, the research hypothesis was accepted.
3. The guidelines for the classroom research promotion of the school administrators under Uthaithani Primary Education Service Area Office 2 according to Kalyàõamitta-dhamma 7 were: 1) the research promotion and support found that the school administrators should give the opportunity to the teachers in expressing their opinions and the demand supporting their research politely, including the participation in project planning and setting the objectives together, 2) the progress promotion and respecting teachers found that the school administrators should create the master teacher having the research knowledge as the mentor, speak persuasively with the polite speech, have confidence in the teacher and be the mentor to always give advice, 3) the basic knowledge of the research found that the school administrators should have the knowledge and understanding of the research process and self-development to be the model for the teachers and be able to explain to the teachers, and 4) the research monitoring found that the school administrators should make the awareness to the teachers for their role in the research, support the teachers for the researcher, give the opportunities for all parties to participate in the research evaluation and express the opinions and doubts fairly.
