The Effect of Computer-Assisted Instruction on Creating Games with the Scratch Program for Matthayomsuksa 1 Students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School
Abstract:
This research aimed to: 1) develop computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School, 2) compare the learning achievment before and after using computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School, and 3) study the satisfaction of the students towards the computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School. The sample group in this research consisted of 29. Mathayomsuksa I students, Chumchonhanhuawua Rat Uthit School, Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, semester 1, of academic year 2024. The research instruments consisted of 1) Computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayomsuksa I students, 2) Four computer-assisted instruction lesson plans on creating games with the Scratch Program of Mathayomsuksa 1 students, 3) Learning achievement test, and 4) Satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used in data analysis were mean and standard deviation. The research hypothesis was tested by t-test. The research findings were as follows:
1. The computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayomsuksa 1 students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School had the efficiency and propriety, in overall, at a high level.
2. The learning achievement of the students who studied with computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayom 1 students at Chumchonbanhuawua Rat Uthit School was higher than before learning with a statistically significant difference at .05 level.
3. The students were satisfied towards the computer-assisted instruction on creating games with the Scratch Program for Mathayom 1 students at the highest level.
