Abstract:
The purposes of this research were: 1) to compare the learning achievement of the students before and after learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique in the topic of Environment in the Community; 2) to compare the problem- solving ability of the students before and after learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique in the topic of Environment in the Community; and 3) to study the satisfaction of the students towards the learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique in the topic of Environment in the Community. The sample of the study consisted of 12 Prathomsuksa 3 students of Banbutawong School, Lamplaimat District, Buriram Province, under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 in the first semester of the academic year 2023 obtained by using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instruments included six lesson plans on the topic of Environment in the Community by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique; a 20-item 3 multiple choices learning achievement test on the topic of Environment in the Community with the difficulty index between 0.33 to 0.75, the discrimination index between 0.30 to 0.83, and the reliability level of 0.92; a 2-item subjective test on problem-solving ability in the topic of Environment in the Community with the difficulty index between 0.50 to 0.52, the discrimination index between 0.32 to 0.42 and the reliability level of 0.86; and a 10-item 3-rating scale questionnaire asking satisfaction of the students towards learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique for Prathomsuksa 3 students. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypotheses were tested by t-test (Dependent Samples). The findings were as follows: 1. The learning achievement of the student after learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique on the topic of Environment in the Community of Prathomsuksa 3 students was higher than before learning with statistically significant difference of .05 level. 2. The problem-solving ability of the students after learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique on the topic of Environment in the Community of Prathomsuksa 3 students was higher than those before learning with statistically significant difference of .05 level. 3. The satisfaction of students towards the learning by using Phenomenon-based Learning with the R-C-A question technique on the topic of Environment in the Community as a whole was at a high level.
