Abstract:
The study of the guidelines for implementing the community forest management action plan of Ban Mae Mok Tai, Mae Mok Subdistrict, Thoen District, Lampang Province, was a qualitative study. The objectives were to examine the community forest management action plan and identify the guidelines for implementing this plan in Ban Mae Mok Tai, Mae Mok Subdistrict, Thoen District, Lampang Province. The key informants were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 5 representatives from the Community Forest Committee of Ban Mae Mok Tai and 10 representatives who are local leaders involved in the management of the Ban Mae Mok Tai community forest. Data collection instruments, namely group interviews and focus groups were used, and the data were analyzed using content analysis and analytic induction techniques. The findings revealed that the community forest management action plan of Ban Mae Mok Tai has focused on restoring community forest resources and enhancing the villages forest abundance, including constructing firebreaks, building water-retaining weirs, and planting trees. These efforts have been supported through various projects aimed at restoring the community forest, leading to positive outcomes in the sustainable use of the forest by the local population. Regarding the guidelines for implementing the community forest management action plan, it is a participatory plan involving the community and representatives responsible for the local forest management. This approach is a bottom-up strategy that aligns with the needs of the community. Therefore, implementing community forest management action plan of Ban Mae Mok requires enhancing the communitys capacity for forest management, alongside advocating for support from various network agencies to effectively mobilize resources.
