Abstract:
The purposes of this study were: 1) to identify the components of the 21st century administrative skills of school administrators, 2) to investigate the current and desirable states of the 21st Century Administrative Skills of School Administrators. 3) to assess the needs f the 21st century administrative skills development of school administrators, and 4) to conduct the guidelines for the 21st century administrative skills of school administrators under Thare-Nongseng Archdiocese. The participants consisted of 226 administrators and teachers from Thare-Nongseng Archdiocese schools in the academic
year 2024, selected using multi-stage random sampling. The instrument used in the study were a 5-level rating scale questionnaire, which the part of actual state indicated validity index at 1.00, discrimination power index ranging from 0.29 - 0.82, and reliability index was at 0.97, whereas the part of desirable state indicated actual state indicated validity index at 1.00, discrimination power index ranging from 0.36-0.84, and reliability was at 0.97, and an evaluation form which was rated by five experts to conduct the development guidelines. Statistics used in data analysis included frequency,
percentage, mean, standard deviation, and modified priority needs index.
The findings were shown as follows.
1. The 21st century administrative skills of school administrators included four components, namely 1) Communication Skills, 2) Digital Technology Skills, 3) Human Relations Skills, and
4) Creativity Skills. The overall propriety of the components was at the highest level.
2. The current state of the 21st century administrative skills of school administrators under Thare-Nongseng Archdiocese showed was a high level, whereas the desirable state was at the highest level.
3. The needs of the 21st century administrative skills development of school administrators under Thare-Nongseng Archdiocese, in overall was at 0.081. all components were prioritized as: Human Relations Skills, Creativity Skills, Digital Technology Skills, and Communication Skills, respectively.
4. The guidelines for the of the 21st century administrative skills development of school administrators under Thare-Nongseng Archdiocese consisted of two aspects, namely 1) Human Relations Skills, which consisted of Understanding and Motivation, and 2) Creativity Skill, which consisted of Initiative and Flexibility of Thought. The overall aspects of the guidelines showed the propriety at the highest level.
