Abstract:
The objective of this research was to compare the results of a complex training program on the agility of female hockey players of Kasetsart University between the experimental group and the control group before and after training program on the eighth week. Thirty six female hockey players, aged between 18-28 years were equally divided into two groups of eighteen subjects using purposive sampling method. The experimental groups trained 3 days per week for 8 weeks using the complex training method. The instruments used for data collection were (1) hockey skills development program, (2) complex training program, and (3) the Illinois agility test. The research results were found that (1) the agility in both the control and experimental groups reduced in testing time before and after on the eighth week of training. This showed that the agility of both groups significantly increased at the .05 level (2) the agility in both the control and experimental groups reduced in testing time before and after on the eighth week of training, on the contrary, the experimental group significantly reduced I more testing time at the .05 level compared to the control group.
