An Analysis of Grammatical Errors Based on the Chinese Speech Scripts of Advanced Level Chinese Learners in Informal Talk
Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to analyze the grammatical errors of the guests from the fifth season of Informal Talks", find out the causes of grammatical errors, and provide suggestions for Chinese learners to express themselves on informal occasions. The research results showed as follows:
From the analysis of the corpus of the fifth season of the Informal talks, there are four types of errors: omission error, wrong substitution error, misplace error, and misuse error. The omission accounted for 34.23%, wrong substitution accounted for 26.12%, misplace for 22.52%, and misuse accounted for 17.12%. Through an in-depth analysis of the grammar bias of the guests in Informal Talks, four reasons for the oral grammar errors: lack of target language knowledge, improper learning strategies, communicative strategies, and anxiety. According to the analysis results, the research recommended the following four suggestions for Chinese learners on formal occasions, including consolidating the knowledge of the target language, improving learning strategies, improving communication strategies, and relieving anxiety.
