Abstract: In this thesis, the zero-truncated Bell distribution is developed. It is a modified Bell distribution, which is recently introduced by Castellares, Ferrari and Lemontec in 2018. The zero-truncated Bell distribution was proposed to be an alternative distribution for modeling of count data without zero. Some statistical properties, such as mean and variance are derived from zero-truncated Bell distribution. The maximum likelihood estimation is employed to estimate the model parameter. Finally, the efficiency of zero-truncated Bell distribution is compared with the zero-truncated Poisson and zero-truncated Poisson-Shanker distributions. In application study, we also conclude that the zero-truncated Bell distribution is applicable to real data set when it is compared with the zero-truncated Poisson and zero-truncated Poisson-Shanker distributions.
