Teachers Learning Management Skills in the 21st Century Affecting Quality of Students in Schools under Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2
Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to examine the teachers learning management skills in the 21st century affecting quality of students. The participants comprised of 349 administrators and teachers in schools under Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, who were recruited using multi-stage sampling. The instrument used in data collection was a 5 level-rating scale questionnaire, which the part of teachers learning management skills in the 21st century indicated validity index ranged between 0.60 1.00, discrimination power index ranged between 0.46 - 0.85, and reliability index was at 0.97, and the part of quality of students revealed validity index ranged between 0.80 1.00, discrimination power index ranged between 0.45 - 0.82, and reliability index was at 0.97. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson ProductMoment Correlation Coefficients and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.
The findings were as follows,
1. The teachers learning management skills in the 21st century composed of five components, namely 1) classroom management skills, 2) information technology skills, 3) professional learning community skill, 4) child center learning skill, and 5) critical thinking skills. The quality of students composed of six components, namely 1) thinking skills, 2) good health and aesthetics, 3) virtues, ethics and desirable values, 4) knowledge acquiring skills, 5) learning achievement and 6) teamwork skills. The components of teachers learning management skills in the 21st century and quality of students showed the highest level of propriety.
2. The teachers learning management skills in the 21st century, in an overall, was at high level.
3. The quality of students, in an overall, was at high level.
4. The teachers learning management skills in the 21st century and quality of students were positively correlated at moderate level with statistical significance at .01.
5. The teachers learning management skills in the 21st century comprised critical Thinking skill (X5), professional learning community skill (X3), information technology skills (X2), and classroom management skills (X1) could predict quality of students with statistical significance at .05. The four factors could explain the variance of student quality at 50.10% and had standard error of estimate at 0.335. The predictive equation written as follows.

6. The guidelines for developing the teachers learning management skills in the 21st century affecting quality of students comprised four aspects, namely critical thinking skills, information technology skills, professional learning community skills, and classroom management skills.
