Abstract:
The objective of the research was 1) to develop the Student Support System Manual for the Group of Mueang Ket Schools under the Roi Et Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 2) which would be used as a reference for school administrators, leaders of student activities and advisors to control, monitor and supervise the student support system. Four steps were implemented in preparation of the manual. The first step encompassed studying and collecting of related information and documents. The second step was to draw up the manual draft, together with its scope and contents, and set up a group of experts for commenting the draft copy, consisting of 9 members: 3 school administrators, 3 supervisors and 3 leaders of student activities. The third step was the assessment of the draft manual by 30 teachers or student activity leaders. The last step was to work out a completed manual copy. The result of the research can be summarized as follows: 1) The assessment of the draft manual as undergone by 30 teachers or student activity leaders was found to be at the highest level of decency. (X = 4.73 and S.D. = 0. 68) 2) The constructed manual consisted of 4 chapters as follows: Chapter I: Social problems affecting children and youths. Chapter II: Factors, System, Charts, Procedures & Roles and Duties of Personnel concerned. Chapter III: Related Documents, Devices and Filing standards. The five steps of student support system is mentioned in this chapter, namely, (1) Individual records (2) Screening system (3) Prevention and solution of the problems (4) Development and promotion (5) Transfers. Chapter IV: Others (regulations on leave, 9 critetria for the disable students etc.)
