Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the condition of administration for educational excellence of schools under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) draft the administration model for educational excellence of schools under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, and 3) evaluate the administration model for educational excellence of schools under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The research consisted of three steps: Step 1: Studying the condition of educational administration for school excellence from 303 administrators and teachers under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 obtained by a multistage stratified random sampling method. The research tool was the questionnaire, with a reliability of 0.98. Data were analyzed using basic statistics: mean and standard deviation. Step 2 was the development of an educational administration model for school excellence. A group discussion with five experts was employed in this step. Step 3 was the evaluation of the educational administration model for school excellence. Nine experts were school administrators obtained by purposive sampling method. The examination form, the research tool for this step, was used to check the suitability and feasibility of the administration model for the educational excellence of schools under the Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. Overall, the model was appropriate and feasible. The research showed that : 1. The condition of educational administration for school excellence was at a high level overall and in each aspect. 2. The model of educational administration for school excellence had four components: 1) Structure of the administrative system, 2) Management methods, 3) Philosophy and principles, and 4) Monitoring and Evaluation. 3) philosophy and principles and 4) Monitoring and Evaluation. 3. Overall, the result of examining the suitability and feasibility of the educational administration model for school excellence was 95.06 percent.
