The Development of using Information Technologies Model for Management and Learning of School under Suratthani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to 1) study the state of using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2) draft a model for using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, and 3) evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility for using information technology model for management and learning of educational institutions under Surat Thani Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The research consisted of three steps: Step 1 was studying the state of using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions from 304 students. A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was employed and the research tool was the questionnaires with the reliability of 0.85. Data were analyzed using basic statistics: mean and standard deviation. Step 2 was model development of using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions. A group discussion of five experts was applied for this step. Step 3 was the evaluation of information technology model for management and learning of educational institutions. The experts were nine educational institute administrators selected by purposive sampling. The tool used for this step was the evaluation form to check the suitability and feasibility of the model. Overall, the model had appropriateness and feasibility. The research showed that: 1. Conditions of using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions in overall and each aspect were at a high level. The aspects averages listed in descending order were as follows: information technology for learning management, promotion of learning management, creating an atmosphere to promote the learning, and promoting and supporting the use of media and learning resources. 2. The model of using information technology for management and learning of educational institutions was composed of four components: (1) Information technology for learning management, (2) Promotion of learning management, (3) Creating an atmosphere to promote the learning, and (4) Promoting and supporting the use of media and learning resources. 3. The evaluations result revealed that using information technology model for management and learning of educational institutions had the appropriateness and feasibility at 96.23 percent.
