The effect of music game activity to enhance creative thinking of young children
Abstract:
The objectives of this research are 1) To study organizing music games to promote creative thinking of young children, and 2) To compare creative thinking behaviors of young children before and after music game activity. The target groups used in this research are: Future Star Kindergarten, Hechi City, Guangxi Province, 5-6 years old (big class) children, 15 children from the second semester of the first academic year in 2023 (middle and large class) for the experiment. In this research, the researcher used 2 types of tools: 1) Assessment of creativity in early childhood children 2) Music game activity plans to promote creativity in early childhood. Statistics used to analyze descriptive statistics include percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results found that: 1) The results of the study organizing music games to promote creative thinking of young children. It was found that every aspect had improved. 2) Results compare creative thinking behaviors of young children before and after music game activity. The results of the study of creativity before and after organizing music game activities found that creativity increased the creativity scores of early childhood children before organizing the music game activity had an average score (x̄=9.93, S.D.= 1.87, Ordinal 1) after organizing the music game activity. The creativity score of early childhood children after organizing music game activities had an average score (x̄= 22.80, S.D.= 2.63, Ordinal 3) When studied in each aspect, it was found that creativity in the originality and fluency areas can be shown as a bar chart as follows.
