Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the knowledge and local wisdom of the group of people who dye Morhom fabric from natural color in Phrae province, 2) study the Morhom fabric production of the group of people who dye Morhom fabric from natural color in Phrae province, and 3) prepare a manual on knowledge management and local wisdom of the group of people who dye Morhom fabric from natural color in Phrae province. This study used both quantitative method and experimental method. The samples were community sages; Morhom fabric entrepreneurs, and scholars in Phrae province. In-Dept Interview with structure, purposive sampling, snowball sampling, and participants observation were used for data collection. Research instruments were in-depth interview, satisfaction questionnaire, and suitability assessment form. Statistical devices used in data analysis including content analysis, frequency, mean, percentage, and standard deviation. The results found that the knowledge could be divided into 3 aspects which were 1) the knowledge and local wisdom about Hom, 2) the knowledge management about the production of wet Hom flesh and the Morhom fabric production, and 3) the group of people who handle Morhom fabric dye from natural color in Phrae province. The standard formula production of the wet Hom flesh was 1 kg of Hom leaves for 10 liters of water then soaked for 48 hours, and after that used 12 grams of lime for 1 liter of Hom leaves-soaked water. In terms of textile testing according to the community product standard of Morhom fabric, the average total was at a good level. In addition, the satisfaction of entrepreneurs on Morhom fabric from natural color dye on the standard formula of wet Hom flesh showed the mean (X̅) 4.37 or 87.40 percent. It was satisfied at the high level. The suitability of the manual was assessed by 24 experts and divided into 3 aspects; 1) the format of the manual, 2) content within the manual, and 3) the application. In conclusion, the results from evaluating suitability in the 3 aspects found the most appropriate level of mean (X̅) 4.60 or 92.03 percent.
