Abstract: A business mindset is an emerging priority for science students, but they have no training in business. A scientist should recognize the potential of scientific discoveries, select and developing them for the market, which would help to advance science for the benefit of the world. Science students need to be able to shift from the science mindset in the laboratory to the business mindset outside the laboratory. The objective of this research is to find ways to efficiently cultivate the business mindset among science students in higher education through a course on entrepreneurship offered as a special topic at the faculty of Science and Technology. This research examines the experience of science students as they go through an entrepreneurship course, how students search within themselves to identify and interest, with guidance from the instructor through the process of setting up a business in their chosen area. Qualitative data was collected through in-situ observation and informal interviews of the undergraduate science students in the faculty of Science and Technology. Not surprisingly, it was found that there are differences in thinking between science students and business school students. Results of the study lead to guidelines for improving the teaching of business for science students, suggesting that future creation of business courses for science students should also include creativity. In addition, science teacher training also should include entrepreneurship, so that science teachers can help to guide students to think of their scientific knowledge as a business advantage for commercialization.
