Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the effects of TSOI learning activities to the scientific application abilities and attitude towards chemistry of high school students. The sample of this research are 28 grade 10 students of Mae La Noi Daroonsik School, Mae Hong Son,Thailand, who enrolled in chemistry class in the first semester of 2017. They were selected by the purposive sampling. The research instruments are consisted of 9 lesson plans 18 period of introduction to chemistry laboratory based on TSOI, the scientific application abilities in daily life test and the attitude towards chemistry learning test. The Statistics used for determining data are item mean and standard deviation as the comparisons of pre post test scores of the scientific application abilities in daily life and the attitude towards chemistry learning test respectively. The results can conclude that ; the students who studied by TSOI learning activities had the mean scores of the scientific application abilities to apply the scientific knowledge in daily life after were higher than before implementation 41.78 % and attitude towards chemistry learning higher than before implementation 24.29 %
