Abstract:
Digital fashion is a growing trend in the fashion industry. These garments are unable to be worn physically as they are created using 3D software and exist solely in the digital realm. This research aims to investigate fashion animation, digital clothing, and surrealism fashion. The objective is to create a fashion animation that presents digital garments in a
surrealism style, showcasing the advantages of digital fashion, particularly the limitless
creativity possible in the digital realm. The research produced a 1:45 minute 3D animation titled "Whimsical Reverie". The production process involved three stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. The results obtained from a sample of 30 individuals indicated that, in terms of design, the audience expressed greater satisfaction with the avatar design, while the animation and simulation received the least satisfaction. Regarding the content, participants recognized the potential of fashion animation, agreeing that it can effectively showcase the potential and advantages of digital garments, thereby fulfilling the research objectives. Based on this research, it has been determined that relying solely on the Clo3d program for creating digital clothing models is insufficient for surrealism fashion because Clo3d primarily emphasizes realistic clothing creation. Therefore, additional 3D programs are necessary to overcome this limitation.Blender has been selected for this research to create surrealism fashion.
