Abstract:
The shape, size, and position of the mouth play a very important role in the basic elements of facial beauty. Appearance and the position of the mouth in relation to the facial structure determines youth and aging. The mouth conveys emotions such as smiling, frowning, and gaping, anger or happiness inside that you can't hide.
To find the perfect mouth position Cosmetologists have examined millions of beautiful women. and find ways to correct the appearance of the mouth. The corners of the mouth are the result of factors that are present from birth and other factors. Repetitive movements of the Depressor Anguli Oris muscle may cause drooping or sad mouth appearance. In addition, skin components such as collagen and elastic fibers subcutaneous fat muscles and bones Can cause the corners of the mouth to droop as well.
Signs of aging in the perioral area require a variety of approaches to improve the appearance of the corners of the mouth without surgery. Among those guidelines include: Botulinum toxin A injections, soft-tissue fillers, thread lifts, mesotherapy, cell therapy (Stem cell therapy), etc. This research will focus on the treatment of droopy mouth corners by injecting Botulinum Toxin Type A to one group of Depressor Anguli Oris muscle and another group of Platysma muscle.
In expressing emotions through facial expressions, perioral muscle components form a complex interplay of muscle fibers. To raise the corners of the mouth Two muscles are involved: the DAO muscle and the platysma muscle. The function of the DAO muscle is to pull and move the corners of the mouth laterally. Another type of muscle is the platysma muscle, which stimulates the muscle bundle to pull both corners of the mouth to the side and lower.
Botulinum toxin A contains a purified neurotoxin that can temporarily paralyze specific muscles in the face and neck. Injecting botulinum toxin A into the DAO and platysma muscles relaxes the muscles and has the opposite effect to elevate the corners of the mouth.
According to the message mentioned above, this study will compare the efficacy and timing of intramuscular injections of botulinum toxin in two groups of subjects with different muscle groups on Day 0, Day 14, Day 30, Day 60, and on day 90 to raise the corners of the mouth.
