Abstract:
The research objectives were to: 1) study the conceptual frameworks of academic management and analyze the confirmatory factor analysis model of entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students ; 2) study the levels of entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students ; 3) study the priority needs of developing academic management towards enhancing the entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students ; and 4) develop an academic management innovation to enhance the entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students. A multiphase mixed-methods research design was used. The population consisted of secondary schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, totaling 2,360 schools. The sample consisted of 400 secondary schools, selected by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The key respondents were 973 grade 12 secondary school students and 1,031 people, including administrators, heads of curriculum development, and teachers. The research instruments were assessment forms, questionnaires, and interviews. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, PNImodified, confirmatory factor analysis, and content analysis. The research findings showed as follows 1) the academic management framework consists of (1) curriculum development ; (2) teaching and learning management ; and (3) evaluation, and entrepreneurial mindset consists of eight domains, including (1) being committed and determined ; (2) being motivated to achieve desirable goals ; (3) being encouraged to take risks ; (4) having self-leadership ; (5) being enthusiastic and seeking opportunities ; (6) being tolerant of uncertainty ; (7) being flexible and resilient ; and (8) being creative and innovative. 2) the levels of entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students, it was found that the mean of being committed and determined was highest and the mean of being encouraged to take risks was lowest. 3) the priority needs of developing academic management towards enhancing the entrepreneurial mindset of secondary school students, it was found that the highest priority needs index fell on teaching and learning management, evaluation, and the development of curriculum, respectively. 4) Good practices in academic management include 23 practices. 5) the academic management innovation is an innovation for design learning towards the creation of student entrepreneurs that consists of four components: (1) student entrepreneur development ecosystem ; (2) entrepreneur competency-based curriculum (3) student entrepreneur learning management, and (4) entrepreneur learning assessment.
