Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study the feasibility of investing in solar cell installations and cost-effective ratio on the rooftop of a Lumpini Place Rama VIII condominium building. The research was divided into three conceptual frameworks: physical, technical, and economical potentials. The PVSYST model was used to calculate and evaluate based on solar power generation system. This project was to reduce expenses in terms of electrical bills in the future. In this study, the interest rate of 5% throughout the projects lifespan of 25 years. The study found that the installed area of solar panels was 312 square meters with a total power generation of 53.04 kW maximum. The system could generate electricity of equivalent to 73,746 units per year. The annual electrical bill reduction was approximately 309,773.20 baht, with a total investment of 1,793,388.48 baht. NPV was equal to 2,479,887.08 baht. The IRR was 11% and the payback period was 7.1 years. It can be concluded that this project is appropriate for investment.
