Abstract:
This research was qualitative and quantitative, aimed at studying the tourism management of the Ban Noen Hom community by employing the Deming cycle. The key respondents came into 2 categories: 1) relevant people of Tambon Noen Hom to tourism management, 8 cases, 2) pilot voluntourists 30 cases were taken from interested tourists over the age of 20. The research instruments were a focus group and a questionnaire. They were tested for the tools quality with the Item-Objective Congruence Index (IOC), an index as a whole of 0.98. Data analysis used content analysis and descriptive statistics; frequency, percentage, and average. As a result, plan, the community carried out according to improved travel routes. Enhancing activities focused on culture. The relevant people on assignment coordinated for accommodating tourists. Do, arrangements, and operations didnt go according to plan. Hence, this community made the change to deal with arising situations. Check by tourism activities, generally, the results were at the highest level, except the appropriateness of travel routes was at a high level. The problems of receiving tourists were insufficient toilets and resting areas, the unclear sign of tourism locations, poor presenting techniques by the community guides, and tourist safety while seeing a demonstration. Act, the focus group came up with suggestions for improvement, act. They were; communicating with tourists to use the toilet of a temple or ready group before moving to the next group, making tourist resting seats out of local natural materials, coordinating with relevant agencies to the sign of tourism locations, applying a poster or board to support the presentation, and setting demonstration area as a safety measure. As a consequence of this research, the community had piloted receiving real tourists, hence the recognition of problems and approaches to coming of tourists. These brought about standardization and commercialization in tourism.
