Abstract:
These are the three main purposes of this research:1)To study and analyze the context, problem state, necessity, and the concept of the theoretical process of elderly Peace Well-being development according to modern science. 2) To study and analyze the principles of Buddhist Peaceful Means that contribute to the process of developing Peace Well-being for the elderly by Buddhist Peaceful Means. 3) To develop and present the process of developing Peace Well-being for the elderly by Buddhist Peaceful Means for Chiang Rak Noi Subdistrict Municipality Elderly School. This study was conducted using research and development (R&D) methods according to the framework of the Noble Truth Model following the guidelines of the 9-step ladder framework, and the results can be summarized as follows:
The research results found that:
1) The state of the problem of the elderly at Chiang Rak Noi Sub-district Municipality School for the Elderly includes health problems, adaptation to family, society, workplace, physical, emotional, and mental changes, less self-help, and dependence on others. The elderly must be prepared to live happily with their families and society.
2) The principle of Buddhist Peaceful Means that facilitates the process of developing peace and well-being for the elderly by Buddhist Peaceful Means involves developing and practicing in a a spiritual way according to the four bases of accomplishment (Iddhipādā 4): 1) Wish, satisfaction in life that changes, 2) Effort, effort to develop 3) Thoughtfulness, with mindfulness, complete concentration with mental health, purity, and peace. 4) Examination, with contemplation of wisdom, to solve problems and live wisely.
3) The Process of Developing Peace Well-being for the Elderly by Buddhist Peaceful Means aims to develop for the elderly to open their minds, learn, think positively and develop starting from raising awareness, holistic learning, and wisdom conversation. The researcher found that the High Happiness Model consists of 1) High external (Strong physical health), 2) High internal (Clear mind), and High mindfulness (Smart in life), resulting in the elderly being loving, firm, and stable.
