Abstract:
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the condition development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi 2) to study the guidelines for development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi 3) to promote the guidelines on the development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi. The study was a qualitative research. Data were collected via in- depth interviews with 15 people involved, 5 key informants, and focus group discussion by 7 experts for analytic induction.
The results of the study revealed that:
1. The status of the condition development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi. The development of a school information system that consists of school basic information system, learner information system, school academic administration information system, information system for school administration, information system for school results reporting. The school's information system operation process consists of 5 steps 1) data collection, 2) data verification, 3) data processing, 4) data storage, and 5) data use but the steps are not systematically implemented, continuous and serious.
2. The guidelines for development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi. The development of a school information system that consists of school basic information system, learner information system, school academic administration information system, information system for school administration, information system for school results reporting. The school's information system operation process consists of 5 steps 1) data collection, 2) data verification, 3) data processing, 4) data storage, and 5) data use. One more step that is an important part in the operation of the school's information system to be more complete, that is knowledge management.
3. The experts verified the guidelines for development of school information systems under the secondary educational service area office Trang Krabi and found that regarding the focus group discussion, the guidelines have suitability, possibility and usefulness which can be applicable.
