Guidelines for development of basic educational committees participation in academic administration of educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon primary educational service area office
Abstract:
The objectives of this research were to study: 1) the present condition and desirable condition of basic educational committees participation in academic administration of the educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office and 2) guidelines for the development of basic educational committees participation in academic administration of the educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office.
The sample for the questionnaire included 175 basic educational committee in academic administration of the educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office for the academic year 2021, obtained by the stratified random sampling. The interviewees were 6 school administrators. The research tools consisted of a questionnaire with dual response format and an interview form. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Priority Need Index, and content analysis for interview data.
The study results showed that: 1) the present condition and desirable condition of basic educational committees participation in academic administration of the educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office was, overall, at a high level and 2) guidelines for the development of basic educational committees participation in academic administration of the educational expansion school under Samut Sakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office were as follows: (1) the basic educational committee should participate in a review meeting and give suggestion for budget allocation, (2) the basic educational committee should have cooperation, give opinions and recommendations to promote and assemble educational resources, and (3) the basic educational committee must coordinate with community, receive feedback concerning academic and professional skills from community, serve as leader or representative of local community, and liaise between community and educational institution for academic activities or projects.
