Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to: 1) examine the state of digital citizenship for
primary students; 2) create and develop a learning activity to enhance digital citizenship for primary
students; and 3) evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility of the learning activity to enhance
digital citizenship for primary students. This research was a research and development (R&D) study
and had three (3) phases, as follows: Phase 1: to explore the state of digital citizenship for primary
students. The population was 4,231 grade 5 students under the Office of Primary Education Sakon
Nakhon Area 1 in the academic year 2023. The sample size was applied from Krejcie & Morgan
method and used simple random sampling technique. The research instrument for this phase was a
set of questionnaires. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard
deviation. Moreover, the exploration was required by using the focus group technique with ten
(10) experts. The research instruments were a set of structured interviews and focus group
interviews. Phrase 2: to create and develop the learning activity to enhance digital citizenship for
primary students by reviewing literature The drafted version was assessed and confirmed by five
(5) experts. The research instrument was a checked-and-confirmed interview of the drafted learning
activity. Phase 3, to evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility of the learning activity to enhance
digital citizenship for primary students, was conducted by eleven (10) experts. The research
instruments for this phase were sets of appropriateness and feasibility questionnaires.
The results of the study showed that:
1. The result of examining the state of the digital citizenship for primary students as a
whole was at moderate level. When considering each item: Digital Identity, Digital Use, Digital
Security, Digital Literacy and Digital Communication, it was found that all items were rated at
moderate level.
2. The result of the creation and assessment of the consistency of the learning activity
to enhance digital citizenship for primary students which consisted of rational criterion, objectives of
learning activity, instruction of learning activity, learning objectives of learning activity, content of
learning activity, and pre-test and post-test as a whole and each item were consistent at very high
level.
3. The result of the evaluation of the appropriateness and feasibility of learning activity
to enhance digital citizenship for primary students which consisted of rational criterion, objectives of
learning activity, instruction of learning activity, learning objectives of learning activity, content of
learning activity, and pre-test and post-test as a whole and each item were appropriate and feasible to
implement at very high level
