Abstract:
Theobjectivesof this research were 1) to develop of training course basedonOrff
music teaching theory to improve musical rhythm skill of undergraduate students. 2) tocompare students' musical rhythm skill before and after training course basedonOrff
music teaching theory,The sample group included 30 first-year students majoringinmusic education from Yunnan Communication Vocational and Technical College, Kunming City, China, in the first semester of the academic year 2023, thosewhoobtained through cluster random sampling cluster random sampling method. Theresearchinstruments included 1)Training courseactivity plan based on Orff music teachingtheory and 2) musical rhythm skill measurement form. Data were statistically analyzedbymean, standard deviation,and t-test for dependent samples.
The results were found that:
1) Development trainingcourse based on Orff music teaching theoryforundergraduatestudents, Training courses include: module 1, theoretical knowledge., module2, physical training and module 3, musical instrument. training course in total have12hours. it was found that students' musical rhythm skill has been improved, studentscan more accurately grasp the rhythm elements in the music, remember andmaster
a variety of complex rhythm types faster, and better understand the emotionandexpression in the music
2) Using training course Orff music teaching theory, the musical rhythmskill of
first-year students after class is significantly higher than before class, with statistical
significance at the level .01.
