Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study and compare the students learning
achievement in English reading comprehension before and after using KWLH Plus technique, and
2) to study the satisfaction of those towards the learning procedures through KWLH Plus
technique. The sample consisted of 31 sixth graders studying in the second semester of academic
year 2020 at Ban Huataphan School and Ban Siew School, gained by cluster sampling.
The research instruments were 6 learning kits, an achievement test made by the researcher,
the test included 30 items with the difficulty indices between . 5 6 -. 7 4 , the discrimination
indices between .26-.44, and the reliability value of .73, the validated writing evaluation rubrics
with the appropriateness value of 4 .8 5, and the validated satisfaction evaluation form with the
appropriateness value of 5.00. The statistics used for data analysis was mean, percentage, standard
deviation, and t-test.
The research findings were as follows:
1. The students achieved in English reading comprehension through KWLH Plus
technique at good level with the mean score of 24.81, which was at 82.70 percent. The learning
achievement after using KWLH Plus technique was statistically higher than that before learning at
the .01 level.
2. The students had their satisfaction towards the learning procedures of KWLH Plus
technique at the highest level with the mean score of 4.51.
