Abstract:
This research aimed to 1) study the competency of innovation creation level in Science for Primary 5 (Grade 5) students and 2) compare the competency of innovation creation in the Science of the Primary 5 (Grade 5) students studying through the STEM learning management combined with design thinking with the traditional learning management.
The research sample was selected by cluster sampling consisting of 2 classrooms of the 69 Primary 5 (Grade 5) students studying in semester 2/2021 at the Innovation Demonstration School of Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. The research instruments included 1) traditional learning management plans, 2) the STEM combined with design thinking learning management plans, and 3) an assessment form on innovation creation competency. Mean, standard deviation, and t-test were the statistical methods used for data analysis.
The research results were as follows: 1) The Primary 5 (Grade 5) students' innovation creation competency was at a high level and 2) the competency of innovation creation in Science of the Primary 5 (Grade 5) students studying through the STEM learning management combined with design thinking was higher than those studying through the traditional learning management at the statistical significance level of .05.
