The Efficiency of Fundamental Chinese Teaching Based on Flipped Classroom of Grade 5 Students at Watraikhing Wittaya School
Abstract:
The aims of this study were to examine the efficiency of flipped classroom teaching method by means of experiment; to compare the learning achievements of Grade 5 students at Wat Raikhing Wittaya School before and after implementing flipped classroom teaching method; and to investigate the students satisfaction towards flipped classroom teaching method. Four periods were designed for teaching experiments, pre- and posttest were adopted to examine the students' academic performance before and after implementing flipped classroom. The data was calculated for t-test, mean (x ̄), standard deviation (S.D.), and efficiency of flipped classroom teaching method (E1/E2).
The results showed that the efficiency scores (E1/E2) of the flipped teaching method were 83.28/86.96 which were higher than the standard 80/80. This indicated the teaching method was efficient. The pre- and posttest mean scores students were 8.46 and 17.39 respectively and the t-test analysis showed statistical difference at the significance level of .05. The assessment of students satisfaction towards implementation of flipped classroom teaching method showed the overall mean score at 4.50.
