Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to construct a performance test entitled "the rate of chemical reaction" for grade 11 students, 2) to find out the quality of a performance test entitled "the rate of chemical reaction" for grade 11 students. 117 secondary students under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 32 on semester 1/2020 were randomly selected to be the samples. The techniques of sampling were Multi-stage Random. The tool of this research was a performance test entitled "the rate of chemical reaction" for grade 11 students. This test consisted of 15 items, after that students took the test for 3 times. The first time was employed with 36 students, the second was employed with 41 students and the last time was employed with 40 students. This testing was to find out content validity using the Rovinelli and Hambelton conformance index formula, discriminant validity was based on the known group comparison method, discrimination value was based on the Whitney and Sabers formula, reliability value of the performance test using Cronbach's alpha coefficient formula and reliability value of two examiners respectively using Pearson's correlation coefficient formula.
The results revealed that: 1) Researcher constructed a performance test entitled "the rate of chemical reaction" for grade 11 students, for 1 issue consisted of 15 observations, a three level of evaluation form, four observation steps: preparation step, performance step, task step and habit process step. 2) The quality of the performance test was found that: the content validity was at 1.00 for all items, the validity value of this research showed that the average scores of smart students were higher than those of weak students with statistical significance at level .05. The discriminative value was at 0.75 1.00, the reliability value of the test was at 0.97. The reliability value of the two examiners were at 0.88. In addition, the error value of measurement was at 1.10.
