Abstract:
The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the state and problems in knowledge management based on Buddhadhamma, 2) to develop the knowledge management process based on Buddhadhamma, and 3) to propose the knowledge management process based on Buddhadhamma in schools under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area 1. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The data of quantitative method was collected by questionnaire from 400 samples consisting of teachers and educational personnel in schools under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area 1. The qualitative data were collected by interviews and group discussions with 10 key-informants. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results of the study were found that:
1. The state and problems in knowledge management based on Buddhadhamma in schools under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area 1 were at a high level overall. The problems were on knowledge transfer, the scattering of knowledge, not building competitive knowledge, accumulating knowledge unsystematically, and not application of external and internal knowledge in use.
2. The development of knowledge management process based on Buddhadhamma in schools under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area 1 are as follows: 1) Principle; meaning and concept of knowledge management in school and the principles of the Four Noble Truths, 2) Aim; significance and benefit of knowledge management, 3) Method; conceptual framework, supporting factors to success and strategy in knowledge management, and 4) Process; the knowledge management process in 5 aspects and the knowledge management process based on the principles of the Four Noble Truths.
3. The proposed knowledge management process based on Buddhadhamma in schools under the Office of Bangkok Secondary Educational Service Area 1 are: 1) Principle; meaning of knowledge management, continuous knowledge building process, knowledge distribution for creating values to schools, and the concept of knowledge management in school based the Four Noble Truths, 2) Aim; the significance of modern knowledge management with the focus on the value of organization members and the benefit of knowledge management in 5 items, 3) Method; the conceptual framework in knowledge management to reveal 8 hidden factors to success and 3 strategies in knowledge management, and 4) Process; the knowledge management process in 5 aspects; knowledge scoping, seeking, sharing, storing and learning. The knowledge management process based on the Four Noble Truths is to specify a problem, set a hypothesis, test and collect the data, have a trial based on the hypothesis and then analyze the data, conclude and set up the principle for practice and problem solution.
