Abstract:
The objectives of this research were; 1) to study the state of student care and promotion in schools under the Primary Educational Service Area Office, 2) to develop student care and promotion system based on Buddhadhamma principles in schools under the Primary Educational Service Area Office, and 3) to propose the student care and promotion system based on Buddhadhamma principles in schools under the Primary Educational Service Area Office. The instruments of this mixed method research consist of 1) questionnaire on the state of student care and promotion from 357 samples and analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, 2) interviews with 7 key-informants for student care and promotion system development and analyzed by content analysis, 3) group discussions with 8 experts for the propose of student care and promotion system and analyzed by content analysis.
The results of the study found that:
1. The state of student care and promotion in schools under Office of Primary Educational Service Area was at a high level in total and in details. The highest level was on prevention and correction, followed by promotion and development, individual knowledge, and student screen and transfer.
2. The development of student care and promotion system based on Buddhadhamma principles in schools under Office of Primary Educational Service Area consists of; 1) System consisting of (1) Input, (2) Process, (3) Output, (4) Feedback, and (5) Environment, 2) Student assistance and promotion consisting of (1) individual knowledge, (2) student screen, (3) student promotion and development, (4) student prevention and assistance, and (5) student transfer, and 3) 4 principles of Sanghavatthu; Giving, Kindly speech, Useful conduct, and Even and equal treatment.
3. The student care and promotion system based on Buddhadhamma principles in schools under Office of Primary Educational Service Area consists of 5 components; 1) Input consisting of (1) student assistance and promotion, (2) Sanghavatthu principles, (3) school contexts, (4) law, and (5) community contexts,
2) Process consisting of (1) student promotion system in 5 areas; individual knowledge, student screen, student promotion and development, student prevention and assistance, and student transfer, (2) integration of the four principles of Sanghavatthu, 3) Output consisting of (1) fixed objectives, (2) aim, (3) principle,
4) Feedback, and 5) Environment consisting of (1) extrinsic environment and
(2) intrinsic environment.
