Abstract:
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the roles of Buddhist Monks and social development based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Buddhist Economics in the lower northeast region. 2) to study and analyze the roles of Buddhist Monks and social development based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy balanced, stability and sustainable in the lower
northeast region.3) to study problems and obstacles about social development by Buddhist Monks based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in the lower northeast region. To perform this research by survey. questionnaires and the interview and the record of the filed data. With 396 samples of the Sangha community from lower northeast region Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima province. The data analysis from the questionnaires and the function from Microsoft Excel. The data analysis by frequencies, percentage, average and standard deviation.
The result research found that:
1) The roles of Buddhist Monks and social development based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and Buddhist Economics in the lower northeast region, by the overall image, it is a high level in an average, be valuable share equal to 4.15 when consider by each factor is also high level in an average. The Buddha Dhamma about Threefold is the highest level equal to 4.22
2) The roles of Buddhist Monks and social development based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy balanced, stability and sustainable in the lower northeast region found that: by the overall image, it is a high level in an average, be valuable share equal to 4.10,4.11 and 4.12 when consider by each factor is also high level in an average.
3) The problems and obstacles about social development by Buddhist Monks based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in the lower northeast region, by the overall image, it is a high level in an average, be valuable share equal to 4.06 when consider by each factor is also high level in an average.
From an interview found that: social development by Buddhist Monks based on the Principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy by Buddha Dhamma consist of 1) Threefold training , Morality, concentration, wisdom. 2) Thit Thammikattha 4, virtues conducive to benefits in the present; virtues leading to temporal welfare 1. to be endowed with energy and industry; achievement of diligence 2. to be endowed with watchfulness; achievement of protection 3. good company; association with good people and 4. balanced livelihood; living economically. In addition Buddhist Monks activities leading to Forest preservation, national resources and environmental to achieve Forest recovering national resources and environmental based development to balanced , stability and sustainable. The problems and obstacles social development based on the principle of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy are personnel, Know-how, national resources include policy and budget.
