Abstract:
The thesis applied the experimental research approach consisting of the following objectives: 1) to study the development of learning activity arrangement according to Iddhipāda in Buddhism subject for the 2nd secondary school students, Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Pikul Thong school, Singburi province; 2) to study the comparison of learning activity arrangement according to Iddhipāda between pretest and posttest of the 2nd secondary school students, Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Pikul Thong school, Singburi province; and 3) to propose suggestions for developing learning activity arrangement according to Iddhipāda in Buddhism subject for the 2nd secondary school students, Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Pikul Thong school, Singburi province. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans as well as the pretest and posttest. The population used were 26 students of the 2nd secondary school students by means of purposive sampling.
The results of the research are found as follows:
1) The results from analyzing the development of learning activity arrangement according to Iddhipāda in Buddhism subject for the 2nd secondary school students, Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Pikul Thong school, Singburi province are found overall at a high level (x̄ = 3.54, S.D. = 0.85). When considering each aspect, it is found that Viriya or Effort is at the highest level (x̄ = 3.58, S.D. = 0.86). Followed by Chanda or Aspiration (x̄ = 3.55, S.D. = 0.96) and Vīmaṃsā or Investigation (x̄ = 3.51, S.D. = 0.81). The last one that students have the least opinions on is Citta or Consciousness (x̄ = 3.51, S.D. = 0.79). When considering the overall, it is at a high level in all aspects.
2) The comparative results of learning activity arrangement according to Iddhipāda in Buddhism subject for the 2nd secondary school students, Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Pikul Thong school, Singburi province when classifying by pretest and posttest through a t-test, it is found that students have different scores in pretest and posttest with a statistical significance at 0.05 level, according to the set assumption.
3) The suggestions for the teaching and learning arrangement according to Iddhipāda found that teachers should provide comprehensive content that is in line with the duration, build motivation for the students to have an interest in learning, provide various teaching materials that are appropriate to the basic knowledge and ability of students, provide teaching methods and processes for students to have analytical and synthetic thinking skills according to principles and reasons. All of which will result in the experiences on learning skills upon the students so that they can apply the obtained benefits in daily life.
