Abstract:
The study entitled The Collaborative Learning Management on Buddhism Subject for the 4th Secondary School Students in General Education Department of Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Phongployviriyaram School, Bangkok was a pre-experimental research with the following objectives: 1) to develop the learning management according to collaborative learning management on Buddhism subject for the 4th secondary school students in general education department of Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Phongployviriyaram School, Bangkok and 2) to compare the pretest and posttest of learning achievement by means of collaborative learning management on Buddhism subject for the 4th secondary school students in general education department of Phrapariyattidhamma Wat Phongployviriyaram School, Bangkok. A sample group was acquired by way of purposive sampling and consisted of the secondary school students, in a total of 1 classroom and 26 students. The research instruments were 1) 4 plans on learning management based on the collaborative learning management on Buddhism subject in the topic of Buddhadhamma and 2) the pretest and posttest of learning achievement with multiple choices of 30 questions.
The results of the study are found as follows:
1) The results from developing the learning activity by way of collaborative learning management on Buddhism subject, it was found that collaborative learning management can develop students to have a concentration in learning, disciplines both physically and verbally, disciplines in teamwork as the work tasks are delegated systematically. Students can perform their duties well, able to work in time as specified by the teachers, have unity in working together, able to keep the regulation of the group, study and seek knowledge attentively by themselves, and have confidence to speak up and express themselves. All of which enables students to accomplish the learning objectives specified by the teachers which are aligned with the basic core curriculum that learning management must aim at developing Thai people to become complete human beings whether physically, mentally, intellectually, morally, and culturally in coexisting together happily.
2) The results from comparing the pretest and posttest of learning achievement by means of collaborative learning management on Buddhism subject, it was found that pretest had a mean (x̅) equal to 12.88 with a standard deviation (S.D.) at 2.046. While the posttest had a mean (x̅) equal to 27.00 with a standard deviation (S.D.) at 1.442. When comparing between the pretest and posttest of learning achievement, it was found that the posttest had a higher score than pretest with a statistical significance at 0.05 level, according to the assumption set.
