Abstract:
The thesis consisted of the following objectives: 1) to develop the morality on honesty for students of Wiangsa-At Phitthayakhom School, Wiangsa-At Subdistrict, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District, Mahasarakham Province; 2) to study the opinions towards the development of morality on honesty for students of Wiangsa-At Phitthayakhom School, Wiangsa-At Subdistrict, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District, Mahasarakham Province; and 3) to suggest the morality on honesty for the students behavior of Wiangsa-At Phitthayakhom School, Wiangsa-At Subdistrict, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District, Mahasarakham Province. The study applied a preliminary quasi-experimental design. A population used were 25 students of the 1st secondary school, Wieng Sa At Phitthayakhom School, Wiangsa-At Subdistrict, Phayakkhaphum Phisai District, Mahasarakham Province. The research instruments were the pretest and posttest. The acquired data were analyzed by means of the package program. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D.)
The results of the research found that students who can give the correct answer towards the development of morality on honesty have the pretest that was equal to 68% while the posttest is equal to 92%. From studying the opinions of students towards the development of morality on honesty, it was found to be at a high level with a mean of 4.13. When considering each aspect, the aspect that has the highest mean is contents that conform with the guidelines for the development of morality on honesty such as school should provide environment and atmosphere in the classrooms, including media and materials, to be appropriate for doing activities, in order for the teaching and learning activities to go well. Teachers should allocate the time for students to do activities together with classmates, as a way to promote students with opportunities to exchange opinions and to train students with analytical skills on problems related to morality in various aspects occurring upon themselves, friends, and people in the society. Students should also be encouraged to propose the solution to problems on morality which is a training for students to cultivate their wisdom on morality in every aspect. Teachers can apply the teaching plans in the implementation of activities that aim to promote and develop students and after the finish of each activity, teachers should have a long-term follow up in order to study the sustainability of the development of morality on honesty for students by distributing certificate to students who make benefits to themselves, family, and school.
