Abstract:
The objectives of this research were: 1) to develop a learning skill practice exercise; 2) to compare learning achievements; 3) to assess learners' competency in learning management in geography, the learning area of social studies, religion and culture of the 3rd year primary school students of Wittayaratnukun School by using the learning skill exercise. This study was experimental research. The target group included 29 3rd year primary school students selected by purposive sampling. The research tools were a set of learning skill exercise, a learning achievement test and a competency assessment form. The statistics used in the data analysis were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation.
The research results were as follows:
1) In regards to the development of a learning skill practice exercise, the students basic understanding on geography was at the moderate level according to the pre-test results. After the learning process, the students were able to answer the test on geography well.
2) The comparison of learning achievement before and after using the learning skill exercise, the post-test score has increased by 87.14 percent, which was in accordance with the 80/80 standard criterion with a statistically significant level of 0.05.
3) The assessment of the students' competency in all 5 areas found that the students' behaviors were at an excellent level: communication 51.72 %, thinking 55.17 %, problem solving 48.28 %, life skills 58.62 %, using technology 48.28%, and overall, 52.41%. The percentage of the students who received better assessment results was 87.59.
