Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study and compare the opinions of administrators, academic teachers and general teachers under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office on the suitable characteristics of school administrators for learning reformation in 4 aspects: academic matters, personality, knowledge and ability in performing the duty, and moral and ethics. The data gathering instrument was a questionnaire designed by the researcher and consisted of 63 rating scale items. The reliability of whole questions was 0.94. The 454 samples subjects were composed 53 administrators and 53 academic teachers obtained by means of purposive sampling and 348 general teachers obtained by means of quota sampling. The statistics employed the analysis of data were mean, standard deviation and F-test (One way analysis of variance) for hypothesis testing. The research finding were as follow :
The administrators, academic teachers and general teachers viewed the suitable characteristics of school administrators for learning reformation in both overall and each aspect at the high level. Considering individually the 4 aspects could be ranked in order from high to low level, respectively, like this: moral and ethics, knowledge and ability in performing duty, academic matters and personality. On comparison of the views of the 3 groups: administrators, academic teachers and general teachers under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office about the suitable characteristics of school administrators for learning reformation. It was founded that they were insignificantly different at the .05 level. On opinion and suggestion of the views of the 3 groups: administrators, academic teachers and general teachers under Ratchaburi Provincial Primary Education Office about the suitable characteristics of school administrators for learning reformation. Finding the first 10 orders by frequency were : widely vision, having spacious knowledge for giving some suggestions to teachers about teaching and learning, brave to decision, hearing the opinions from teachers, working by rule, understanding in human difference, good humour, kind, developing in every aspects, and concentrate in working.
