Abstract:
The purposes of this study includes 1) To study of patients behavior using treatment service at private physical therapy clinics in Surat Thani Province. 2) To study the factors affected patients behavior, who obtain treatment from private physical therapy clinics in Surat Thani Province. 3) In order to improve, amend or develop private physical therapy clinic business. The methodology that had been implemented along with this study was questionnaire amid kind cooperated from a group of 400 respondents. These samples will be evaluated and analyzed according to Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and Chi-Square at 0.05
The majority of sample is female respondent, who is between 41-50 years old. Their educational qualification is bachelors degree. Most of respondents are entrepreneur who earn more than 50,000 baht monthly. The amount of 28% had been found with history of medical condition, consisting of Hypertension, Stroke and Dyslipidemia. Moreover, most of respondents are be able to take care of themselves.
According to the study, most of the patients come to private physical therapy clinic due to back pain syndrome. Ultrasound equipment and stretching techniques are the most common procedure that has been used. The average service attendant is 2-3 times a week where clinic is located in the central of the city. The reasons affected customers choice were service quality. The popular timing is 17.01-18.00 and the average spending is 301-500 baht per used. The respondents can make decision and drive to the clinic by themselves.
According to research hypothesis, 1) Demographic factor which includes gender, educational level, occupation, average income of household, underlying diseases and level of soreness or ability to take care of themselves. 2) Marketing Mix factors consist of product, price, place, promotion, process, people, and physical evidence, which are related to patients behavior of using treatment service at private physical therapy clinics in Surat Thani Province.
