Abstract:
Chemical engineering at RMUTT requires the graduates to be ready to work. Laboratory is the course for improving the students skill. This work was investigated how to improve the ability of the students in doing practical
work and skill of report writing by using video and instant report. For the chemical process instrumentation laboratory, more than 72.5% of students understand the methodology from the video from their friends and understand the main variable in the experiment. The instant report helps the students to understand the main concepts of the experiment. The
lab report will has higher quality if the teacher gives feedback on the report so the students can revise it before submitting
the complete one. For chemical engineering laboratory 1, the video of lab procedure also helps the students to understand
more than only reading the lab direction. The formative assessment increased the average grade of the students significantly. The report scores are quite the same when we use instant report. For future study, we are going to use the instant report and video but we will focus on the quality of the report and try to give feedback faster to help the students
to improve their skills and reach the learning outcomes of these subjects
