Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the administrative conditions on Muaythai activities for basic education schools in Surin Province, 2) to construct the administrative model on Muaythai activities for basic education schools in Surin Province, and 3) to evaluate the administrative model on Muaythai activities for basic education schools in Surin Province. The informants included five groups consisting of 11 experts selected by a purposive method, namely two university lecturers, two school administrators, five Muaythai teachers in basic education schools in Mahasarakham province, Khonkaen proivince, Nakhonratchasima province, Ratchaburi province, and Surin province, and two educational supervisors, nine eminent persons selected by purposive method, namely three school administrators who are experts on Muaythai in Surin province, three educational supervisors, and three Muaythai teachers in basic education schools, 105 school administrators selected by using Krejcie Morgans size table, namely basic education school administrators in schools under the Surin Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, 2, 3 and the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 33, 90 staff members, namely school administrators, academic teachers, and Muaythai teachers in schools under the Surin Educational Primary Area Office 1, 2, 3 and the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 33, and 11 eminent persons selected by a purposive method, namely three university lecturers, two school administrators, five Muaythai teachers, and two educational supervisors in Mahasarakham province, Khonkaen proivince, Nakhonratchasima province, Ratchaburi province, and Surin province. The instruments used in this research were the interview, the questionnaire with the reliability of .98, and the model evaluation form and the model confirming evaluation form. The statistics used for thedata analysis were frequency,percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of this research were as follows: 1) The administrative conditions on Muaythai activities for basic education schools in Surin Provinceincluded six aspects that were composed of (1) in terms of policy, it was unclear andcould not be implemented. (2) In terms of Muaythai curriculum, the course contents was not clear for each class. (3) In terms of teachers and educational staff they lacked knowledge, competency, experience and expertise in activities. (4) In terms of students, it was found that they lacked attention in studying Muaythai because of being afraid of violence and fighting on the stage. (5) In terms of the budget, there was insufficient budget for preparation of places and skill training equipment. And (6) in terms of learning resources, schools rarely signified the outside learning resources on Muaythai. 2) The construction of administrative model on Muaythai activities for basic education schoolsin Surin province was found that there were five main components that were composed of (1) planning, (2) implementation (3) monitoring, (4) development, (5) reflection and improvement. And 3) the evaluation of administrative model on Muaythai activities for basic education schoolsin Surin province, perceived by school administrators, was found that there were the highest suitability,possibility and usefulness. The model evaluated by the eminent persons were found that there were five components as follows: 1) The planning that was composed of (1) preparing the action plan (2) developing the improvement plan, and (3) setting the schedule of supervision and follow-up. 2) The planning implementation that was composed of (1) identifying achievement indicators (2) improving during operation, and (3) summarizing the results. 3) The monitoring that was composed of (1) monitoring and (2) preparing the report to submit the affiliation. 4) The development that was composed of (1) promoting exercise (2) promoting the preparation of Muaythai courses and (3) creating the network of local Muaythai centers. And 5) the reflection and improvement that were composed of (1) assessing basic Muaythai skills periodically and (2) examining and reflecting the results of every step of the activity that the schools can use.
